We are excited to release the 12th edition of our annual report about the unaffordability and high costs of child care across the country, The US and the High Cost of Child Care 2018.
In this report, we emphasize the importance of increasing the investment in child care from both public and private sources, decreasing the cost burden on families through a variety of strategies, providing support to parents struggling to afford child care while working or pursuing higher education and prioritizing professional development for the child care workforce. We explore the role that CCR&Rs can play in the future of child care—by supporting the workforce and building the supply of quality child care.
