As America’s child care system faces growing challenges, Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) organizations play a vital role in connecting families, providers, businesses, and policymakers to build stronger, more sustainable child care infrastructure. Yet, despite their impact, CCR&Rs are often underrecognized and underfunded.
To help elevate their role and equip them with the tools to strengthen their programs and advocate for their work, Child Care Aware® of America (CCAoA) has developed a CCR&R Position Statement and Landscape Survey. These resources clarify the essential services CCR&Rs provide, highlight what an effective CCR&R looks like and the services they currently offer and give actionable strategies for policymakers, administrators, business leaders, and CCR&Rs themselves to work together in strengthening child care systems.
