As part of the initiative to increase access to quality child care, the Department encourages all child care providers that are licensed/regulated to take the next step in joining New York State’s Quality Rating and Improvement System, QUALITYstarsNY.  By joining QUALITYstarsNY, child care providers receive incentives (i.e., funding to complete professional development training, scholarship awards towards educational advancement, personalized coaching) and other financial supports to advance in improving and sustaining high quality care for all military and civilian children across the state of New York.  Regulated child care programs in all settings can join QUALITYstarsNY and there is no cost to participate and access QUALITYstarsNY’s resources and support.
