Meredith M. Lozar serves as the Senior Director of Military Spouse Programs for Hiring Our Heroes, an initiative of the United States Chamber of Commerce Foundation. In this role, she leads the organization’s strategic evaluation of military spouse professional challenges, directs the implementation of programs to address these challenges, and builds partnerships that create global employment opportunities for military spouses. She also identifies and promotes various military spouse initiatives and serves as a subject matter expert on issues impacting military spouses and families.

A leader in the field of military family support services, Lozar has dedicated her career to improving the lives and overall readiness of today’s military families. She has facilitated and/or directed both large- and small-scale military-affiliated nonprofit and for-profit programs, including the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society’s Quantico and Camp Pendleton offices, Blue Star Families’ nationwide communities, the National Military Family Association’s Military Family Programs, and the Department of Defense Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program. Lozar has also served in multiple advisory capacities for the Marine Corps, Army and Air Force.

Lozar graduated Summa Cum Laude from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and went on to earn a master’s degree in Human Relations from The University of Oklahoma. She went on to be selected as a Military Spouse FINRA Fellow and achieve her Accredited Financial Counseling® (AFC) certification. Lozar is a Marine Corps spouse and currently resides in Yuma, Arizona.
