How does the federal government shutdown affect my fee assistance?
At this time your military fee assistance will not be affected by the federal government shutdown. As we receive more guidance, we will continue to update our website and/or send email notifications.
I have been laid off as a result of the federal government shutdown, and my income has changed. Will you recalculate my fee assistance?
We will not be recalculating total family income (TFI) due to income changes caused by the federal government shutdown.
How will the federal government shutdown affect my application?
At this time, the federal government shutdown will not affect your application status or process. As we receive more guidance, we will continue to update our website and/or send email notifications.
Due to the federal government shutdown, I am having difficulty making payments to my provider. Are there any resources available that can assist me?
Requirements for parent fee payments are determined by individual community providers. If you are having trouble making required parent fee payments due to the government shut down, we encourage you to reach out for assistance to your service’s aid or relief society.
I am unable to submit my military orders and/or LES due to the government shutdown. What should I do to complete my application?

The Navy and Department of the Air Force EFMP Respite Care Program FAQ
How is the Navy/Department of the Air Force Respite program impacted by the government shutdown?
Families with an active certificate of approval for the Navy and Department of the Air Force EFMP Respite Care Program may continue to use respite care services uninterrupted by the government shutdown. Attendance sheets will continue to be processed and payments made within normal 7-10 business day processing times.
